In his greetings to the public earlier in the day on the occasion of Ram Navami, Prime Minister Modi stated that Ayodhya is experiencing unparalleled joy as this is the first year the festival has been observed there following the dedication of the Ram temple.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today in Nalbari, Assam, that
he approached the people in 2014 with hope, in 2019 with trust, and in 2024 with a guarantee.
Speaking at an election rally in Borkura ground in Nalbari, Assam, he said that the birth celebrations of Lord Ram were celebrated in the Ayodhya temple with a “Surya Tilak” ritual 500 years after the temple’s construction.

At the rally, the PM remarked,
“Let us participate in the event by switching on our mobile flashlights and offering our prayers to Lord Ram. We cannot join the celebrations at Ayodhya.” For the next five years, free rations will be given to everyone, without exception, according to the prime minister.
People aged 70 and above will receive free treatment up to ₹ five lakh under the ‘Ayushman Bharat’ initiative.

PM Modi was in the region to support three NDA candidates who were in attendance at the rally: Phani Bhushan Choudhury of the Asom Gana Parishad for Barpeta; Jayanta Basumatary of the United People’s Party, the Liberal nominee for Kokrajhar; and Bijuli Kalita Medhi of the BJP, for Guwahati.
